The University of Canterbury has a strong clubs culture, providing students with sporting, recreational, leisure, cultural, social, support, political, educational and faculty clubs. Major events organised by the CDO include: Clubs Days, Clubs Seminars, NZ University Games, Blues Awards, Performing Arts awards (Madcaps), club administration, promotion and grants.
The CDO position is a service provided by the Students Association to specifically serve the needs of students at the University of Canterbury. Thus, we need students to be involved in the process of planning and running the events and services we provide. Plenty of opportunities exist for students to volunteer their services in return for training, free entry to events and refreshments.
