//. EDUCATION AND SUPPORT OFFICE

The Education and Support Office provides independent support, advice and advocacy on any academic problems you may have while studying at the University of Canterbury.

We administer the Class Rep system, which provides an important link between the class and the lecturer. Class Reps are the first point of contact for students with issues and, once trained, offer guidance and support for their classmates.

We are available to hear individual student issues, questions and concerns, and to provide informed and independent advice to help resolve the academic issue. We can act as a support person for students in meetings and appeals, and if we can't help personally, we can assist students in finding the person who can. We support Postragudate students to deal with the speciifc and unique issues which occur for them and send out a regular Postgraduate Newsletter.

The  Education Support Coordinators work with the UCSA Student Executive to ensure student representation on UC committees, and we manage the Course Consultations, ensuring that student opinion is heard.

The UCSA Education Support Office is located in the UCSA building and is staffed by the UCSA Education Support Coordinators.
