Thank you so much to everyone involved with the UCSA International Festival! It was a fabulous week starting off with the delicious food fairs and ending with a fantastic performance by Pandemonium Percussion in the amphitheatre.
During the week, the UCSA collected donations for the Refugee and Migrant Centre - the first centre in New Zealand that offers an "advice and referral service which aids individuals and agencies with resettlement issues". We are delighted to report that $600 was raised from the UCSA BBQ and the Global Gala held on Wednesday night. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
This week was the start of a concerted effort by the UCSA to highlight the wonderful diversity on campus and the good that can come from the bringing together of cultures. Erin Martin, our International Student Support Coordinator, has a lot planned for the rest of the year so WATCH THIS SPACE!
