DIGITAL SECTION 1st: Michael Noel - "Bridge" Dynamic, balanced composition with a contrast of tones, line and shape. An interesting viewpoint. Bold. Rich, warm tones/colour.
2nd: C. Mundy-Smith - "Sparkler" Fantastic! -- Capturing the crackling, sparkling firework. Warm tones and balanced composition; reminds me of Picasso flame drawings. Technically well printed.

DIGITALLY-MANIPULATED SECTION 1st: Muneera Mohd Yusof - "City" Effective use of depth of field. A sense of movement/energy of city. Interesting play with scale - creates the feeling of a toy city. High viewpoint in foreground and sense of distance. Vibrant, yet subtle range of colours and tones.
2nd: Mengtei Feng - "Puppet" Conceptually based/idea of puppet. Very ethereal/floating feeling created by superimposing figure against clouds/birds. Subtle tonal range with a glow of light. Well composed (with central composition). Technically sound with subtle patterning echoed in dress and background.

COLOUR FILM SECTION 1st: Claire Bycroft - "Sofa With Book" Interesting viewpoint and sense of scale. Evokes emotions/feelings of absence/calm. Great composition and technically sound.
2nd: Mengtei Feng - "Dyptych" Abstracted/dynamic compositions - creates mystery. Colours of the two photos relate so the images relate well as a diptych. Strong compositions with tonal/colour contrasts.

BLACK & WHITE FILM SECTION 1st: Mohd Hanafee Zin - "Child On Chair" Bold composition, divided into vertical bands - Rich black and crisp white tones. A complex sense of space. Melancholic/thoughtful image - powerful, with right side of image echoing the left.
2nd: Michael Noel - "Hooves" Great detail and tonal range. Texture and patterns created in hair and on shoes. Sense of movement. Interesting use of cropping, creates a strong composition.
