UCWW is a fun, social weightlifting club, connecting women in the gym. We love challenging ourselves, learning together, and teaching beginners. With the Rec Centre's support, we aim to make the weights-area more accessible to women, foster friendships and community, and spread the word that women can lift strong! We have three lifting sessions weekly as well as once off special-focus sessions. We look forward to offering more fun fitness and social activities throughout 2017.
Whatever your gender, abilities, experiences or goals are, we feel there is a place at the gym for you. We welcome absolute beginners, casual gym goers and competitive lifters alike! People of all levels and genders who share our vision are welcome. Claim your gainz, discover what your body can do… and meet some awesome people. Come lift with us!

Weekly group training sessions:
Tuesday 5.30-7.30 pm in the main weights area (Usually lower-body)
Saturday 9.30-11.30 am in the Powerdome aka UC Sport Room (Usually lower-body; squats/deadlifts mixed training, legs, back and biceps)
Sunday 5.30-7.30pm in the main weights area (Usually upper-body; chest, shoulders and triceps)
