Give Line Dance and Modern Jive dance a go at our beginner friendly social classes.
UCanDance runs weekly classes that everyone can join. They're a place to escape the stress of study, meet people, and get your body moving. It's okay if you've never danced before! Our club is about socialising and having fun with dance; not being perfect dancers. Each night we start from a beginner level. So, you can start any night and not worry about what you might have missed in earlier classes.
We teach two classes each night. On Tuesday, the night starts with a Line Dance (solo dance) class at 7pm. Arrive early to get signed in and say hello! There's a short break before we dive into the second class of the night - Modern Jive (partner dance) - at 8pm. Things wrap up with a bit of social dance time. You can dance to the music playing or socialise with other dancers.
Cost: $3 for students, $5 for non-students. Get a free class when you become a member!
Location: Westburn School Hall, 257 Waimairi Road, Ilam. Head up the driveway to find the hall.
What to wear: comfy clothes, shoes that allow you to spin are reccomended
What to Bring: a water bottle
